I am lucky enough to live in one of the top winemaking regions in the country. Michigan’s northwestern lower peninsula is dotted with dozens of award-winning wineries, enough to rival California’s Sonoma Valley. Access to so many amazing wines has turned me into somewhat of a closet wine snob, and also means that a bottle of wine is my go-to gift for almost any occasion. Next time you pick out a nice Gewurztraminer or Riesling to share with a friend, here is a novel and inexpensive idea to dress it up. Taryn from Formal Fringe used a pair of knee socks as a wine bottle bag! Not only is it a cute, whimsical idea, but the pair of socks doubles as a bonus gift! [how to wrap a wine bottle with a knee sock]
Project estimate:
- Bottle of wine, on hand or about $10 and up
- Knee socks, $1
Total: $1 and up

Soooo clever! I buy those socks each fall but am too chicken to wear them. Now I’ll just gift them! :)

I love this idea! A bottle of wine is my go-to gift for quite a few of my family members. You pretty much have to use a bag because bottles are near impossible to wrap, so I really love this alternative. With the holidays approaching, I’m glad I ran across this post :)
