Not sure what to get your Valentine this year? Mollie of Wild Olive did something unusual for Valentine’s Day – instead of making dinner, buying chocolates or making a real pie, she made the cutest plushie I’ve ever seen! She’s sharing the pattern and tutorial for a “Sweetheart Pie” plushie. With just a few pieces of felt, some simple embroidery and a few stitches, it looks pretty straightforward to make and is too cute! Also be sure to check out some of her other great Valentine’s tutorials while you’re there. [how to make felt sweetheart pie]
Project Estimate:
- Felt, on hand or $1
- Embroidery floss, on hand or $1 and up
- Stuffing, on hand
- Pie plush template PDF, free
Total: Free and up
For another fun way to make a slice of pie, check out Aimee Ray’s pumpkin pie. Hers is made a little different, and has felt whipped cream!

Love this! I enjoy seeing kids kitchen stuff homemade – like the homemade pizza kit, etc., that I’ve seen floating around blogland/pinterest! I’ll have to add this to my “To Make” list!! Thanks for sharing!

Love it! Now I want to make a whole pie’s worth of pieces like this so they could be “cut” and “served.”
