Visit your local dollar store and scare up the materials to make this awesome high fashion purse made from the lowly potholder! Reminscent of the quilted purses from some of the expensive high fashion lines, this technique has definite potential! I am going to explore it further myself and hopefully I can bring you some more projects inspired by this one!

I found a lot more purses in this family, a lot of them with chain handles. I’ll leave you and your web searching prowess to search for more inspiration.

I can’t exactly tell what everything is in the potholder inspiration photo, but I will try to guess.

Total cost: $7 and up which is a super bargain compared to a $500 “pouchette!” Ugly Betty would approve!
