My husband is a fan of the Rubiks Cube, so when I spotted the dollar store version store a few weeks ago I immediately knew what I would be making for his upcoming birthday — a customized photo cube! I can also see this being done with scrapbook paper or maybe even fabric. (Of course *I* would think fabric!!)
UPDATE: Hey, it was just called to my attention that there is another (in my opinion, better!) tutorial for custom Rubiks cubes out there! Check out Anne’s tutorial here!
Project Estimate:
- “Magic Cube,” $1
- photos, on hand
- ModPodge, on hand
Total: $1

OMG!! this site is awesome! She loves arts and crafts and is always looking of ways to cut costs. Question on the Rubiks cube: what if someone spins it…who is going to line it back up!?! :)

Care, this is an awesome idea! Don’t ask me why but I was thinking of getting a Rubix cube for my little boy. Then realized he’s too young for it, but with the photos, that would still be cool for him. I love this!
