I usually stick to one major craft project post a day at Dollar Store Crafts, but the truth is I find so many great projects a day, plus I get at least five submissions a day, and I just can’t post about all of them here at DSC. Enter my Twitter and Facebook accounts! I usually share all the cool stuff I find on Twitter (usually several cool links a day, not always dollar store crafts), and any Dollar Store-ish ones at the Facebook account. If you like the projects I post about here on DSC, be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook for more great ideas. (Yes, this is shameless self promotion, but I’m not concerned with how many followers I have! I just want you to know about these accounts in case you care about these social media sites and if you want to get more good links from me.)

The project shown here is a Yarn Christmas Tree by Pretty Ditty, and I found it on FasterCraft.

Project Estimate:

  • Styrofoam form, $1
  • Yarn, on hand or $1
  • Berries, $1
  • Bird (optional), $1 for 3

Total: $1 and up

p.s. I have been thinking a lot about Dollar Store Crafts as a site lately, and I want to get input from you, but creating a poll is a little labor intensive for me right now, so if there’s anything you’d like to see more of (specific topics, types of projects, other kinds of media such as video or podcasts, etc.), please feel free to let me know either here, in the comments or by email: heather -at- dollarstorecrafts dot com.
