I found some cute tote bags at the dollar store last week.  The fabric itself is slick and waterproof-y, and the pretty pattern comes in four different colors.  I immediately snatched up my two favorites of the colors, and came up with a super fun, quick project — a mini duffel bag!  The size is just right for an 18″ doll — but, you can always make one for yourself!  It would be super cute storage for markers or other art/office supplies — or how about a sewing kit?  [Come get the instructions!]

The concept is really quite simple, and doesn’t require tons of sewing experience.  Mine went together very quickly, even with taking photos of each step.  Now I want to make at least a dozen more, for every doll I know!  (Or, secretly, all for MEEE!)

Project Estimate:

  • tote bag, $1
  • zipper, $1

Total:  $2
