The fourth Iron Craft challenge of 2011 was “Get Cozy.” We stuck with the ‘stay warm’ theme we had going, and made coffee cozies. Since Melinda doesn’t drink coffee, so she’s sharing the love and is giving away the two cozies she made! Read about her submission below, then see the end of the post for contest rules.
Melinda Hileman’s Submission: Quickly Customized Cup Cozy
Melinda was away from home again this week, so she had limited supplies. When she went to the Dollar Tree, she picked up a set of these cup cozies. Two different sizes for $1! Then she raided grandma’s craft closet to just add a little embellishment. She added a ric-rac border to one, and a sequin border for the other.
Win one of the two

Oh! Oh!! I would love either one of the coffee cozies. They are both super-cute and would match the endless brown and green pants and shirts I always wear to work. I would definitely use this at work AND at home.

I love both of those equally! Such a cute idea. I’m an occupational therapy student who is on campus or at the library most days. So, I would make serious use of a coffee cozy whenever I grab some coffee as a study break or early morning pick-me-up!

Every morning on my way to work, I make chai tea (sometimes coffee, sometimes regular tea…but mostly chai). I put it in a plastic tumbler with a straw because it’s my favorite cup. I received it upon graduating from university. It has the school’s logo on it. It’s clear, so I can see how much is left. It has a straw, and I prefer drinking things from straws. It’s sturdy and holds more than the average coffee cup.
The only problem is, after putting the hot water into the cup, it’s too hot to handle for quite a bit. And by the time I can handle it, the chai is lukewarm.
This cozy is so cute and would help perfect my morning chai routine.

Oh my, those are too adorable! The sequins remind me of glitter.. which I love! :)
I actually don’t drink coffee as much anymore, but when I craft, I drink plenty of tea, so that’s what I would use it for. :)
