We always get excited when our friends and fans send us great tutorials to share. Today’s guest post is another fabulous project from Selina (aka Sister #1) of The Sisters 4 Say More Is More. We love how these girls manage to turn the most mundane of items into chic fashions! Sophie shows how to unleash your inner rocker chick in minutes with this easy dog chain necklace. (Get it? Unleash? Okay, it’s terrible, but I couldn’t resist!)
Project estimate:
Choke chain, $1
Dog leash, $1
Total: $2
ok… so i admit we ALWAYS say that this DIY is the quickest easiest
ever and that it can’t get any easier… until it does… friends,
meet The Dog Chain Necklace….
you will need 2 items costing $1 each
one choke chain…
and one dog leash…
rip off the handle…
fold your leash in half and loop it through one of the rings on your
choke chain…
now hook your clasp to the open end…
..and hook it to the other loop…
..AND through one of the links in the middle of the chain…
all done!
2 dollars + 2 minutes = 1 fabulous rock n’ roll statement necklace!

Neat idea, but I would suggest removing the dog leash clip (can be done using two pliers and bending an unjoined link or using a bolt cutter). Then use keychain rings to attach.

Can you tell me where you bought the collar and leash? I cannot find them anywhere for under $10 each.

@Mariah, I believe it was the pet section of Dollar Tree.

How heavy is it? Looks great, but it’s hot down in FL, lol.
