Do you love fun crafting supplies and organizers? Me too, me too! My friend Marisa from Modern Surrealist has developed fun and colorful scissor holsters with Westcott Brand. Here she is in her studio.
I got to stay at Marisa’s house this summer when I went to CHA (The Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show). She was such a gracious host, and we had a lot of fun together. She is such a unique person and innovative artist, and she does amazing things with recycled materials! Check out this beautiful mixed media dress she made using Duck Tape, Westcott scissors, and her scissor holsters. She won the Judges Choice for the Crafty Couture designer challenge at CHA.
But back to the holsters. The best part about having holsters is that you can keep your scissors on hand, close by, always. I’m constantly losing scissors, so I love this concept. Since Marisa is a friend of mine, she wants to give away ten sets of her holsters to Dollar Store Crafts readers. Yay!
Marisa is also including a pair of Westcott’s 8″ Non Stick Titanium Bonded Scissors with each holster. My friends, I have these scissors and they are awesome. Non-stick means you can easily use them with sticky stuff (like Duct Tape)! They were also recently awarded one of the Top Ten Tools of 2011 By Creating Keepsakes Magazine. You are going to want to carry these scissors everywhere in your holster.

I really like the solid colors best. I’be never been much for animal prints or fur. If I had to choose between pink and yellow, I would probably go for yellow, but pink would be cool, too. :)

definitely a solid one. maybe yellow? maybe red? but also i want to say that those scissors have ALREADY changed my life since i got them last week. you can cut non-heat laminate and sticky back velcro with no issues at all. they are incredible.
