Dollar Store Mom has been on fire with the great craft ideas lately. I am a huge fan of these fall-themed doilies that are shaped like leaves, pumpkins, and sunflowers, and she (with the help of her 4 year-old daughter) created a pretty fall garland that cost her less than $.50. I think that qualifies as cheap and cheerful! [how to make an autumn garland]
Project Estimate:
- Paper doilies in various colors/shapes, $1 per pack of 32
- Bag of cranberry-like “container filler,” $1 (this project used less than 1/8 of the bag)
- glue, on hand
- twine or string, on hand
Total: $2 and up

I bought some of these! They really are pretty. Our local scrapbooking store was selling one of the doilies for $.29 each! I really like your piano. That’s pretty cool!

newbie here, and I’ll be honest, I don’t go to the dollar store hardly ever BUT, I think I shall go tomorrow to see about some doilies!
