My hubby worked on a grocery stock crew for a few months, and part of his job was putting price stickers onto all of the items. Every day he would go through 2 or 3 rolls of stickers, and knowing that I would love them, he saved the empty rolls for me to use in my crafting! They’ve been in my stash for a while now, just waiting for the perfect project. When I had to come up with an ornament idea for a guest post at The CSI Project, I knew I wanted to use recycled materials; almost immediately the price sticker rolls came to mind! I started arranging them in different patterns on my workroom table and was delighted to discover that 13 of them, placed in the right way, looked strikingly like a stylized snowflake. A little glue and some spray paint later, I ended up with these lovelies! [how to make a bubble snowflake ornament]
Project estimate:
- Empty price sticker rolls, on hand
- Glue, on hand
- Spray paint, on hand or $1 and up
- Ribbon, on hand
Total: Free and up

Also could use empty rls from Glue Dots, ribbon rolls (only certain ones) even scotch tape rolls! May not have enough of these to make several this year, but I will be saving up stuff to make these.
These “empties” are als great to hold round crft projects while painting them and drying!
Thanks for the idea!

You could also use paper towel tubes, or roll up card stock to sub for the rolls.
