Are you a gardener?  It’s getting to be that time of year again – time for starting seeds and rototilling and fertilizing and all of the other preparations that come along with growing your own food.  One of my favorite things to grow is tomatoes.  My hubby and I eat them like they are candy when they are in season!  If you’ve ever grown them you know that they grown best when supported by a tomato cage, which is usually a wire structure places around the plant.  However, they aren’t the prettiest thing in the world!  Take your love for handmade into the garden with these DIY tomoato cages by Carolyn at Carolyn’s Homework, which she assembled by lashing bits of twig to bamboo stakes.  They’re super easy to assemble, cost less than most wire cages, and look fabulous!  [how to make bamboo and twig tomato cages]
