kids crafts 1-2-3 magazine available in the Walmart craft department

I’m really excited to be a contributor to a new kids crafting magazine Kids Crafts 1-2-3. The magazine, which just launched this month is edited by my friend (and talented superstar crafter), Jennifer Perkins of Naughty Secretary Club, and project contributors are a who’s who of awesome crafters, including Mark Montano, Margot Potter, and Vickie Howell, and my new friend Caroline Urdaneta of the adorable blog Salsa Pie..

Kids Crafts 1-2-3 is chock full of great craft ideas, for kids (and grownups too), and is available in the Walmart craft department — I am so excited that there is a magazine that is fully devoted to fun kids crafts. Love that! I was also excited to see that a 1 year subscription to the magazine is only $13 for 6 issues, which is a great deal. I am making a list of crafty friends and family who would appreciate the magazine and checking people off my holiday gift list.

The project I contributed to this issue was the Cursive Skeleton Shirt, which is super easy and turned out really cute. You’ll have to pick up the magazine for the instructions, but here is the supplies list:

Project Materials:

  • Plain t-shirt, $1
  • Freezer paper, on hand
  • Foam spouncer paint brush, on hand
  • Black fabric paint (or acrylic paint works too), $1
  • Tools: Scissors, marker, iron & ironing board

Total: $2

They didn’t ask me or pay me to promote them, but I am really proud of this little magazine and I hope you’ll check it out!
