Whether you’re looking for a unique gift idea or you just want to dress up your own tablescape, a custom set of glassware is a fun project. Over at Honestly… WTF, Erica used a technique to decorate these glasses that you might have seen before, but not in this capacity! We’ve shown you marbled nail polish on fingers, and how to use nail polish to decorate marbled Christmas ornaments, but bringing it into the dining room is a first for us! And since the nail polish never comes into contact with the liquid inside the glass, you don’t have to worry about food safety issues. [how to make marbled glassware]
Project estimate:

I tried this and it turned out awful!! Do NOT use inexpensive nail polish or polishes of different brands! Be aware that if the glasses, vases, etc. you are using are rounded, the painter’s tape is difficult to apply in a straight line around the item. I tried it using teal, brown and cream polish (not everybody wants pink shot glasses) and it was a complete failure. I followed the instructions exactly so I am assuming it was the polishes I used. I still like the idea but am hesitant to spend any more money on it!
