Who would have thought you could make your own monogram garden flag for $1.00.? This is a super easy craft to make your home inviting. Everyone in the neighborhood will want one!
Project estimate:
- Garden flag, $1
- Fabric, on hand
- Aleene’s Fabric Fusion, on hand or about $4 and up
Total: $1 and up
I used my Cricut for this part, but you can do it by hand. I picked my favorite font and chose the size that I wanted. Making sure my mat was very sticky I placed my fabric on the cutting mat and pressed firmly making sure it was smooth. I then cut my image. Be prepared: this may be a fail at this point. Unless you have a very sharp blade and new mat it will just bunch the fabric. If it becomes a pain just cut your fabric letter out by hand. You can either make a template from your Cricut or simply print something from your computer.
After you have cut out your letter coat the back with the Aleene’s Fabric Fusion.
Center it on your flag and press firmly smoothing out all the bumps. Allow it to dry before placing outside. I broke off the stick and string that came on it; you can leave it on if you intend to hang on a wall. I wanted to use mine on my flag hanger.
