Make a Twig Christmas Tree

We are still debating whether or not we are going to get out our Christmas tree this year.  We love to decorate it and have it around through the season, but it’s difficult to find a good space in our house for it, and our three cats see it as a big jungle gym draped in toys, so this year we might do something a little different.  We’ve been thinking about making an assortment of mini trees to decorate a shelf, like a festive little forest.  In my search for tiny tree ideas, I came across this idea from Joanne at Craft Passion.  I love any project that uses materials from nature so this was an instant winner.  She even found string of teeny-tiny lights for hers.  This would be a great use for the strings of LED lights they sell with Christmas village sets; but of course, it looks just as adorable without the lights!  [how to make a twig Christmas tree]

  • Glue, on hand
  • Lights (optional), about $6 and up
