I have a love/hate relationship with my stainless steel refridgerator. While I love the look of stainless steel, I hate how hard it is to keep it clean! I’m always wiping fingerprints and smudges off the doors and handles. I saw these adhesive backsplash sheets at Dollar Tree and knew I’d found a solution to my problem.
Project estimate:
Adhesive backsplash (4) – $1 per sheet
Game pieces – on hand
Glue – on hand
Magnets – on hand
Total – $4 and up
Step one: Peel the backing off the backsplash, and adhere it to the refrigerator. Use a piece of cardboard or a credit card to smooth out the bubbles.
Step two: Cut pieces to size and continue until the refrigerator is covered.
Step three: Glue magnets to old game pieces.
There are different patterns of this adhesive backsplash available, so you could easily change this to match your decor. This product is a very light foil-like material, so it was easy to apply and it clings well. It’s not as thick as adhesive vinyl. I like the pop of color and pattern it adds to my kitchen, don’t you? And I love that I can easily and inexpensively change it when the mood strikes!

Does this damage it?

It looks fantastic! I went to my local store to buy some after reading your post but couldn’t find them. Do you recall what aisle or area of the store they were in?
Thanks, I’m glad you like it! They keep moving it at my store. The first time I found them at the end of the electronics aisle. The second time I found them in the kitchen aisle, near the utensils. I hope that helps!

I left the first piece on for a week and then peeled it back to check it, and it didn’t leave any film or residue. It’s a very light adhesive.
