DIY Glitter Dispensers

Have you seen the little multi-color packages of fine glitter that Dollar Tree carries?  It comes in an array of gorgeous colors, but unlike the coarser glitter that they sell in shakers, this stuff comes in little plastic bags.  I’m sure you can imagine the potential for a mess once you’ve cut open all of those little bags…  Ack!

Luckily, I found a clever solution to this problem in the form of little salt and pepper shakers!  Watch the video for details, or keep scrolling for more.

Project estimate:

  • Glitter, on hand or $1
  • Salt and pepper shakers, $1

Total:  $1 and up

The idea is just as simple as it sounds – carefully cut open each little bag of glitter and pour it into one of the salt and pepper shakers. The tiny shakers I found come in sets of four, so you can store lots of different colors in this way for very little money.
