I’m a huge fan of sunburst mirrors, and especially when they use inexpensive materials! This pretty sunburst mirror, by The Nester, has pretty leaves on it which are made by a material that is always available at the dollar store. Can you guess what it is?
It’s poster board! This cheap material is folded to add dimension to the mirror, and it works very well to add interest to the mirror. [how to make a sunburst mirror] [via Curbly] [via]
Project Estimate:
- Round mirror, $1
- 4 sheets of poster board, 2 for $1
- Hot glue and glue sticks, on hand
- Scissors, on hand
Total: $3 and up

This is amazing!! I am so looking forward to trying this and I haven’t even read the tutorial yet. This is a must on my project list.

Neat idea for cardboard. I love those lamps in the photo. Where are they from?

This looks great and easy to make! I always use glue sticks for projects like this.

I made this and I love it, although I went cheaper with the mirror and used an old makeup compact mirror and glued it onto a circle of wood and surrounded it in cord and painted it all the same colour. It looks really effective. thanks so much.
