One of my favorite birthday parties we’ve ever had is my second son’s 1st birthday party, which had a Panda theme! Everyone dressed in black and white, I made Panda themed food, and we had a couple of crafty panda touches. I wrote about the party awhile back, so check the Panda Party post for details. This week, I went back and reminisced about the party, and put together a video with quick Panda party ideas:

And you can play a Feed the Panda bean bag toss game. Cover a cardboard box with a white teeshirt and add felt features. Cut holes on the top or an opening for a big mouth. Use green socks and dry beans, rice or lentils to make “bamboo” bean bags — tie the ends of the socks for a no-sew version. Now toss the Panda some food! ~Kit

I love pandas. I don’t know if they are a symbol of intelligence, but I always think of them that way! Plus they are cute. :D
